About me
Guess I should offer a bit of information, an introduction of sorts.So let me see how I can word this so no one falls asleep reading it... I'm not exactly the social, center-of-attention celebrity type.
I'm more down to earth and most comfortable in a part of stretchies and an over-sized top. If I can get a nice hot cup of herbal tea, or a mug of hot spiced cider I'm ready to go. Just as long as I don't have to go too far...
Some don't understand how someone that's visually disabled can be as active and involved as I am.
I've just one word: Stubborn.
I'm not about to let my disability get in my way, at least as long as I have any sight at all. (I flunked braille, so I think I'm in trouble once the lights finally go out.) So I'm doing everything I can, while I still can.
I'm a single mom, but I think I prefer it that way. I haven't got that degree yet, but once I figure out what to do with all the CEU's I've earned, I'll get back to working on that.
I'm also an author, but I made the mistake of letting someone tell me that being a writer isn't a real career. That it isn't a real profitable business. Well, I've thrown that nonsense out the window and have returned to writing. It's something that I've missed and I feel much better now that I'm following my passion once again.
I've a profile on Writer's Cafe where I've been uploading my work. I even entered and won a few contests. I'm working on a few projects and with some luck, a whole lot of work, maybe some networking tossed in I may just get something published again.
This isn't the best introduction ever written, but it isn't the worst either. What this site is here for is for me to keep things moving forward. Everyone can use a little pep talk now and then. This site is mine. Then again, it might help someone else too.
