Welcome to my site
The Writing Life

This is my writing section - a special part of me.

II hope you enjoy this area, as it holds many of my creative scribblings. I've been writing for many, many years and I do hope someday I'll be good enough that it will be able to support me.

I've been published before, but due to the bumps in the road of life, I've not kept up with my dream. The daily grind, the whole messy process of life often does not allow the writer the time to escape it all.
The muse will try to tempt, the stray thought may flirt by that calls to that deep desire to create. But pesky phone calls, mounting bills, too little money and trying to meet the needs of a family - it all began to demand more and more of my time.

I love to write. Yet there are times I can really get annoyed with writing. Reading articles online can make me cringe with how horrible they're written. Other times I'm inspired by a story or comment and it gives me hope...Hope that there are others out there that still know how to at least write proper English!

Being creative, to weave words and express emotions, ideas into a form that can be shared. That's the best part of all. There are so many resources available for a writer. You can actually do no writing at all and still be a writer.

Because life is part of writing. For me, being a mom offers so many memories. It's a unique perspective that offers endless story ideas. Moments and experiences that create so much material. Each of my children have brought a view of the world that's completely their own. A different view point, they've helped me remember how it is to be young. To tap into that eternal fountain of youth in my mind.

Living gives a hug variety of material - from romance to heartbreak, from loneliness to independence and more. Our highs and lows, lifestyles and beliefs. Nothing offers so large an amount of material from which to draw upon to create. A writer's unbound by limitations - the only issue is that time tends to slip away far too quickly.

That's why everyone should write. Write their own stories. Share their views of life and the exerience gained, the discoveries and thoughts they've had. Their dreams and the reality, all of it a gift to those yet unborn. That is the treasure of writing, the legacy that we leave behind within our words. Everyone should try to preserve their memories to share with the future.

I hope you'll try your hand at telling your own stories.
Carpe Diem!
